I grew up in Memphis, TN, in a big southern family, and life took me on quite a journey. After my mom remarried, we moved all over the U.S. and even to Europe, where I went to high school. By the time I was 18, I found myself homeless, having run away from a difficult childhood. Despite these challenges, I was determined to build a better future for myself. I worked four jobs to save up and start nursing school, driven by the hope of creating a stable and fulfilling life. As I advanced in my nursing career, I faced new challenges. During the pandemic and my second pregnancy, I worked 50-hour weeks right up until the day before my C-section. Though I loved being a psych nurse, balancing the demands of my job and motherhood was tough—I felt undervalued and underpaid. Spending over 10 hours a day away from my daughter, watching her struggle with constant illnesses she got from daycare while I barely managed to hold it all together, made me realize something had to change.

While on maternity leave, recovering from surgery and adjusting to life with two kids, I seized every spare moment—the “mom cracks”—to build my business. Freshly postpartum and starting from scratch, I put myself out there, driven by the desperate need to create a better life for my two kids. Despite battling anxiety, postpartum depression, and the chaos of single mom life, I grew my business from zero to half a million followers and $1M in profit in just 15 months!
